WHAT ARE CHAKRAS

Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to spinning energy points or flowing energy centers in our light bodies. The ancients teach that we have seven main energy centers or chakras in our light bodies, know as our emotional body. Chakras are explained as “nerve centers” and every nerve center is connected to a major organ or gland. So basically our nerves which carry the flow of energy, meet up in our glands, and these meeting places are called chakra centers. As I mentioned above, Chakras are not located in our physical bodies, they’re located in our energy or emotional bodies, but connect to the major glands which is in our physical bodies.
As I name each chakra and the glands they’re associated with, keep in mind that all of the chakra-points are located in the center of our bodies, running down an invisible tube that comes out of the top of our heads, creating our aura fields, which is responsible for how we perceive and experience reality.

The first energy center, the Root chakra, is located at the base of the spine, and it connects to the reproductive gland and the color red; the second is the Sacral chakra, which is located below the navel, and it connects to the adrenal gland and is associated with the color orange; the third chakra is the Solar plexus, which is located in the center of the stomach, it’s connected to the pancreas, and is associated with the color yellow; the fourth is the Heart chakra, which is located in the center of our chest, it’s connected to the thymus gland and is associated with the color green; the fifth is the Throat chakra, which is located in the neck, it’s connected to the thyroid gland, and is associated with the color light blue; the sixth chakra is the Third eye, which is located in between the brows, it’s connected to the pineal gland and is associated with the color blue; and last but not least, the Crown chakra, which is located at the top of the head, it’s connected to the pituitary gland and is associated with the color purple and pure white light.
These forces are responsible for the flow of energy in our bodies, which affects our glands and organs, which affects how we perceive life.
Remember, energy is the same as thought-cycles; so chakras, spinning wheels of energy, energy centers, electromagnetic energy, energy in motion, emotions, and the emotional body are all concepts of the same thing while using different terms. They all connect, and relate to the energy cycles within us. Now we can see why our energy bodies or astral bodies are sometimes referred to as our emotional body, because they’re all related.
Our light-body is the storehouse of our emotions, so aligning our chakras is another way of saying aligning our energy, which is another way of saying aligning our emotions. If your energy is not aligned, manifesting will be close to impossible. How can you manifest with your emotions all over the place? Manifesting is based on focused energy, and unaligned energy is scattered energy, which is the opposite of focused. Power is focused energy and it takes energy to manifest. Aligning your energy is very crucial in the process of manifesting a better life.

The importance of Meditation and Crystal Healing

One of the best ways to open your chakras and take control of your energy is through meditation. Meditation opens our chakras by using two main ingredients, focus-ness and relaxation.
Meditation is not what most people think it is. It’s plenty of meditation techniques but all together meditation is a form of mental exercise, and not a person trying to quiet their thoughts as most people might believe it to be. Just as physical exercise, meditation only works if you’re consistent and this is why our ancestors used rituals. If you never worked out before and you tried working out for the first time, I’m sure it would be very difficult. Mental exercise is no different. If you worked out for a week straight and then looked in the mirror, you’d probably see little to no physical change. That same thing applies if you mentally worked out for only one week, it would be nearly impossible to notice a difference in your energy. But most people meditate for one week and then say that meditation doesn't work for them. So the first important thing to know about meditation is that it only works if you’re consistent, if you make a daily ritual out of it.
The best time to meditate is right before bed and as soon as you wake up. These are the times when your mind is the most receptive or fertile. The door to the subconscious is still open when you first awaken and right before sleep. Also if you stretch or do yoga before meditating it’s very helpful. The body and the mind are one, so when the body is relaxed, the mind can relax, and relaxation is the key to the realm of peace. Yogo is a practice that stretches the body which removes tension, and being tense is the opposite of being relaxed.
When meditating you want to be sitting in a position that allows your spine to be straight. Sitting in what people call an “Indian posture” is what I suggest, but it’s not mandatory. If you’re sitting in a chair, make sure that your feet are firm on the floor or ground. I also recommend that you don’t meditate lying down, because most likely you’ll fall asleep.
After you’re positioned, for the first few minutes intentionally relax every part of your body. Make sure your shoulders are relaxed, and there's no tension in your face, arms, legs, or any other part of your body. A technique I use to relax my body is, I would breathe in while thinking “re” and exhale while thinking “lax”, and use my breath to relax my entire body.
After you’re completely relaxed you only have two jobs. One is to control the flow of your breath, and the other is to be aware of your breath as it enters and leaves your body. The more focused you are the better! These are your only jobs and that’s it! This is the foundation of meditation.
It’s not your job to control your thoughts, or to try to quiet them, or judge them. Whatever they want to do, just let them do it and don’t participate, just be the conscious awareness. Your thoughts are NOT YOU, so you just watch as the witness of them. This is how you see the cycles, and this how you release the stuck energy in your chakras that’s related to the cycles.
The cycles that’s strong will pull your consciousness away from your breath and into your thoughts. When this happens, your breath will go back on autopilot and you won’t be consciously controlling your breath anymore because your thoughts consumed your consciousness. Some people continue to breathe slowly but are on autopilot, please don’t get that confused with a conscious breath.
Thoughts have the power to take our focus if we’re unaware. The moment you realize that this happened, without judgment or criticism you focus your consciousness back to your breath. This is the foundation of meditation. Every time your breath goes into your thoughts, you pull them back out! You keep pulling them out over and over and over and eventually they’ll stay out. This is how we free ourselves from thought-cycles that shapes our perception.
Cycles are made when consciousness goes into thoughts, and then conscious-thoughts become thought-cycles or thought frequencies, which we experience as emotions. So if consciousness going into thought is what makes a cycle, then pulling your consciousness out of thought is how we reverse a cycle. This reversal is the releasing of our energy, which allows our chakras to flow.
Meditation is a very effective way to reverse cycles and gain back control over your mind and emotions. Look at it as exercise. Don’t ask if 5 minutes a day is good. Would you exercise for 5 minutes a day and expect major results? Okay then! Try to start with 15-30 minutes a session or more, and STAY CONSISTENT because that’s the key.
Once you pull your consciousness out of your thought-cycles they’ll finally lose their power and die. Once the cycles are gone your perception will automatically change as well, because most of our perception is based from thought cycles that we experience as emotions. How do you know when the cycle is dead? It’ll no longer have an emotional reaction, you’ll no longer be triggered by your thoughts. After this happens you’ll be able to meditate and enter a mental space of peace. This space was called “No-mind” by the ancients. They say once you transcend thought, you enter spirit, which is beyond mind.

Crystal Healing

Why is it important to meditate with crystals near your chakras? First we have to examine what are crystals. A crystal or crystalline solid is a solid material whose atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in a highly ordered microscopic structure. In other words crystals are organized structured matter.
It’s scientifically proven that crystals are alive. Most crystals start out as stone and forms into crystals within time. Simply put, a crystal is a high vibrational stone. Crystal can store energy and also absorb information.
In the beginning of time everything started out as stone. If you think about it, literally everything came from stone. Soil is made up of crushed stone, so without stone it would be no plant life, without plant life it would be no trees, and without trees it would be no life as we know it. All metals come from stones, rubber comes from tree sap, plastic comes from the ground, wood comes from tree, basically everything physical started from stone. Our bodies are made up of minerals which are a form of stone. So if everything came from stone, imagine the power of the crystal which is the most advanced form of stone.
So the next question is; what makes different stones different colors and shapes? And the answer is, the rate of vibration within the stone and the molecular structure. With this being said, the color of crystals relates exactly to the colors of our chakras, the energies are one and the same. So by placing specific crystals that’s aligned with specific chakras causes the chakras to connect to the essence of that energy. Crystal healing is something our ancestors used for thousands of years and was understood in many ancient traditions. Crystals can be excellent tools for opening our chakras and realigning our energy.
